NHS - Bradford Royal Infirmary

In 2003 BLD were commissioned to design a link from the existing hospital to new state of the art theatres and recovery ward. The new wing was constructed in a prefabricated modular construction method, which was cladded with natural stone to match the existing building. The natural gradient of the land presented challenges in the need to provide 'access for all', a challenge which was overcome successfully by the design team.
