OUR APPROACH

Building Link Design is a medium sized Architectural Practice with a client led philosophy. Over the past twenty five years we have established ourselves within many sectors priding ourselves in firstly understanding the client\'s requirements, following this through with innovative design solutions and developing the client\'s aspirations in solid form.

We have built a reputation for being able to work as part of a team, always conscious of the wider implications that our experience can bring into any project.

The directors of the practice combine experience with enthusiasm and every project has individual attention. We place great importance on our technical and administrative team and as such, we pro-actively encourage training, education and ongoing development. Due to our working philosophy, much of energy is spent on repeat client business

Ian Lord RIBA Dip. Arch
Ian has a wealth of experience in taking projects from inception to completion. Communicating with people and his innovative approach to design has a combined effect of producing outstanding architecture to suit client\'s aspirations.

Simon Lord M.C.I.O.B
Simons experience and in-depth knowledge of construction blended with practical design solutions is highly valued resulting in an extensive portfolio of clients.

Shane Marsh M.C.I.A.T
Shane has a wide range of specialist skills and expertise in many sectors of design and technology bringing synergy to all projects under his wing. Shane was appointed Director in 2001.

Alf Tompkins M.C.I.A.T
Alf has been responsible for running large design projects for over 30 years. Administering projects with skill and experience has been his success.

TECHNICAL STAFF

Darren Ormshaw - HNC in Building Studies
Darren has been with BLD since 1999. His technical and computer support skills make him an invaluable member of the team.

David Roe T.C.I.A.T 

David has been with BLD since 2001. His technical and personal skills make him an invaluable part of the team.

Chris has been with BLD since July 2005 and his continuing development increasingly adds value to the team.
